Aiming to enhance trade and investment ties, Qatar Chamber recently organized a roundtable in Berlin, focusing on fostering collaboration between Qatar and Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. The gathering was designed to strengthen economic relations and expand private-sector partnerships between the two regions.
The event saw the participation of influential Qatari business leaders, government officials, and representatives from German companies and economic organizations. Leading the Qatari delegation was Sheikha Tamader Al Thani, who engaged in discussions with German counterparts on boosting cooperation in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, logistics, energy, sustainability, digital transformation, and technology.
Key topics of the roundtable included exploring new partnership avenues and increasing investment flows between the two countries. Participants underscored the significance of collaboration in enhancing business prospects, with representatives from Qatar highlighting the nation’s robust investment environment, financial services sector, and logistics capabilities. They emphasized Qatar’s strategic position as a regional hub for business and trade.
As part of the initiative, the Qatari delegation also visited facilities of major German companies, including SAP and Siemens Energy, to observe cutting-edge technologies and industrial innovations firsthand. These visits were intended to provide insights into advanced technological developments and potential areas for collaboration and investment.
Qatar Chamber stated that this initiative is part of its broader strategy to expand international partnerships and attract investments that could create mutual benefits for both Qatar and Germany. The roundtable marks a step towards deeper economic engagement and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation between the two regions.
