Netanyahu Grabs a Coffee and Tells Iran He Is Not Going Anywhere

-

Showing no signs of fear or retreat, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu filmed himself ordering coffee at a local café and posted the video online to counter a wave of false reports claiming he had been killed. The clip, shared via his X account, was brief, composed, and unmistakably confident — the image of a leader unwilling to be rattled by either military threats or online misinformation. It generated enormous global engagement within hours.
Netanyahu made use of a common Hebrew idiom about dying for something one loves, applying it humorously to his passion for coffee. He then delivered a direct and heartfelt message to the Israeli public, thanking them for the kind of solid, sustained support that he described as essential fuel for the government and the military’s operations. He said their strength continued to inspire him.
Part of the video was dedicated to addressing a social media conspiracy theory claiming that a prior press conference had been generated by AI. The theory was built on a clip appearing to show Netanyahu with six fingers on one hand. He dismantled the conspiracy on camera by displaying both hands and counting his fingers out loud, turning the rebuttal into an impromptu bit of political theater.
He addressed the military dimension by confirming that Israeli forces were taking decisive action against targets in both Iran and Lebanon. He did not share specific operational information but communicated with evident confidence that progress was being made. He urged all Israelis to heed civil defense instructions and stay near protected spaces throughout the ongoing conflict.
The IRGC’s response came swiftly and officially — through Iranian state media, the revolutionary guard announced a formal pledge to track down and kill Netanyahu. The language used was hostile and inflammatory, and the threat was framed not as speculation but as a stated military intention. The stark contrast between Netanyahu’s casual café appearance and Iran’s assassination vow defined a key moment in the ongoing confrontation between the two nations.
